Human Ladder is the stage name for singer, songwriter and guitarist Ryan Price. He plays a dynamic style of folky garage rock. A Seattle area native that grew up in the shadow of grunge during its heyday. Ryan began playing in bands as a guitar player in high school. It wasn’t until many years later that he began writing songs and learning to use his voice. Over the decade that followed, Ryan played in bands and self-released music under his own name.
In 2012 Ryan's Mother passed away suddenly. The experience made him reflect and reevaluate. He had drifted away from music. At the urging of family and friends he started making time for music again. This creatively fruitful time gave birth to the songs on “Curse Your Weatherman.” The 8 song album that was self-released in 2016.
2018 proved to be another life changing year for Ryan. He and his wife uprooted their family. They sold their home in Seattle, packed up an RV and traveled across the country. The journey would end in the mountains of Western North Carolina near Asheville.
Human Ladder appears frequently as a solo artist with the help of tasteful live looping. Although it is not uncommon for him to put together a band for special events.
